Though its not a right time to launch any new product in Pakistan but still Yamaha has done it. Yamaha has launched a variation of its top-of-the-line motorcycle YBR125G. Matt Orange YBR125G is launched in Pakistan.
Couple of weeks earlier, Yamaha shared a hint that they are going to introduce a new variation. This was shared in their last price hike letter which made it evident that something new is coming. The YBR125G is a good seller due to its unique looks and off-road capabilities (in normal offroading).
The Matt Orange color is an addition to Yamaha’s matt range. Earlier Yamaha has launched matt grey color. This new color may be launched on the cost of regular red color. Yamaha has not introduced or mentioned red color in its recent price hike letter. Yamaha has also introduced a grey color in its YB125Z.
Do let us know if you think the new Matt Orange Yamaha YBR125G is worth the premium? The Matt Grey YBR125G looks macho and is a nice edition to the lineup. Matt Orange is an innovative and new color for sure but it is not the expansion of the product line.
Unlike cars, motorcycle manufacturers have the leverage to play around with graphics and colors but no one has done it like Yamaha. Other motorcycle manufactures did try but they are not optimistic about the results. The premium variants customer respond to new colors where as the small capacity motorcycle owners do not bother new colors. The selling colors of Honda CD70 and CG125 are red because they cater to rural audiences. However there are different color options in premium variants such as Grey Honda CB150F with orange wheels.
The audience may not welcome this change because they are waiting for an upgrade in terms of shape and engine capacity now!
