Musk wants to set up a Tesla Manufacturing Plant In India
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla is eager to set up electric cars manufacturing plant in India as early as possible. While the Pakistani Automobile Industry is in a dire state, it is a different situation across the border. What is Musk up to and why he is so interested to invest in India, This is what we know so far!
In a tweet shared by Elon Musk fans, Musk can be seen meeting the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In their meeting, Modi invited Musk to invest in India and he agreed to invest heavily in India. Though Mr. Modi is on an official tour to the United States his meeting with Musk seems fruitful as Musk wants to establish a Tesla factory in India due to various reasons.
The first benefit to Musk is that India has very flexible policies for new vehicle entrants specially the Electric Vehicles. Musk hopes to get affordable labor and infrastructure cost-effective to make affordable Tesla cars in India. As India exports automobiles across the globe, this will also help him export Tesla from India.
The world is moving at a fast pace. Many European countries are working on Nuclear Diesel now.
Musk also confirmed his plans to invest in India and is now waiting for a suitable time. On top of giving EV Cars to India, Musk also plans to launch Space X (his other company) in India and launch Starlink internet service too.
