Yadea GT70 First Look in Pakistan: A Premium Electric Scooter That Means Business

Pakistan’s electric scooter market is becoming increasingly competitive, and Yadea has added another interesting option with the launch of the new GT70.

Unlike many electric scooters that focus mainly on basic urban commuting, the Yadea GT70 aims for a more premium experience with its 2,000W motor, LFP battery technology, 12-inch alloy wheels, smart TFT display, top box and large, aggressive design.

Available with single- and dual-battery configurations, the GT70 is clearly aimed at buyers who want more than just an affordable electric commuter.

So, before putting serious kilometres on it, here’s our first-look impression of the Yadea GT70.

Yadea GT70 First Look: It Doesn’t Look Like a Typical Electric Scooter

The first thing you notice about the GT70 is its size and styling.

Yadea has gone for a muscular, sporty and somewhat ADV-inspired design rather than the lightweight commuter-scooter appearance we normally associate with electric scooters in Pakistan.

The sharp front-end design, angular LED lighting, chunky body panels and overall proportions give the GT70 considerable road presence.

It looks closer to a premium maxi-style scooter than a basic city EV, and that could be one of its biggest attractions.

For someone considering switching from a petrol motorcycle to an electric scooter, the GT70 doesn’t give the impression that you are simply buying a basic commuter.

Power comes from a 2,000W electric motor, with a claimed top speed of around 65 km/h.

That puts the GT70 well above the basic electric scooters designed purely for low-speed commuting.

For city riding, 65 km/h should be more than adequate for most situations and gives the scooter enough performance to comfortably keep up with urban traffic.

However, the GT70 is still primarily an urban electric scooter, rather than something designed for high-speed highway riding.

First Impression: Yadea GT70 Looks Promising

After the first look, the Yadea GT70 certainly makes a strong impression.

Its aggressive styling, 12-inch alloy wheels, dual-battery option, LFP battery technology, 2,000W motor, claimed 65 km/h top speed, smart TFT display, disc brakes and rear top box give it a considerably more complete package than the typical entry-level electric scooter.

But specifications on paper only tell half the story.

The real test will be range in Pakistani traffic, charging time, actual electricity cost, acceleration, suspension, ride quality, battery performance in our climate and—most importantly—whether it can genuinely replace a petrol motorcycle for everyday use.

That’s where the Yadea GT70 could become genuinely interesting.
