Elon Musk the co-founder and chief executive of Tesla Inc said on Friday said that the California-based electric vehicle (EV) and clean energy company will enter the Indian market in 2021.Musk said while replying to a query on Tesla’s India plans on Twitter “Next year for sure,”. He did not add anything else.
In Last year, Musk had tweeted regarding high duties on vehicles imported as completely built units (CBUs) in India hindered the company’s entry in this market. This year however the Indian government is willing to soften its policies for Tesla. The Indian government is pushing for a boost in electric vehicle sales as it increasingly focuses on cutting emissions and other sustainability measures.
In September 2017, the government said all of the roughly 250 million vehicles on the road must be electric by 2030. But after fierce criticism, the government lowered this target to just 30% in February 2018.
This may seem odd for others but the EV are now becoming a reality, Even though we are Horsepower PAKISTAN but since things aren’t going amazing in our automotive society, we are still happy for our neighbors.
