In the first quarter of fiscal year 2020-21 Pakistan managed to sale over 800k motorcycles locally, such huge number of motorcycles have never been sold before in Pakistan and despite the economic conditions the two wheeler business seems blooming.
According too the chairman of PAMA(Pakistan Automotive Dealer’s Association):The rural demand is strong as the farmers had accumulated cash because of the lockdown and have been unable to buy motorcycles. Now they are on a spending spree as they also have better income due to higher cotton, wheat, and vegetable prices.
Many companies like Yamaha and Suzuki couldn’t even meet the demand of the customers as they are facing issues of spare parts supplies and backlog from market, thats the reason these motorcycles are being sold on OWN money. Atlas Honda how ever is the most well performer of the trio by selling 36 percent of the over all figure.
The only thing which worries me is that many people paid modern day money to buy old day motorcycles, thats a shame!
