Traffic Police Announce Penalties for Breaking Traffic Laws

Traffic Police Shaheed Benazirabad have warned citizens to follow traffic rules after noticing a rise in violations on city roads. Officials say careless driving and disregard for basic safety rules are putting lives at risk.

Speaking about the advisory, traffic police officials said public transport vehicles carrying more passengers than allowed will face fines. They added that both drivers and owners will be held responsible. Vehicles found operating without a driving license, route permit, or fitness certificate will also be stopped and penalized.

The police further stated that riding motorcycles without helmets and driving cars without seat belts will not be tolerated. Underage driving remains a serious issue, and guardians will be questioned if minors are caught driving.

According to traffic police officials, overspeeding, wrong-side driving, and mobile phone use while driving have become common and are major causes of road accidents. Vehicles fitted with tinted windows, pressure horns, fancy number plates, or unauthorized emergency lights have been declared illegal.

Illegal parking, road encroachments, and blocking traffic will also lead to fines. Traffic police urged the public to cooperate, saying the purpose of these steps is to reduce accidents and make roads safer for everyone.
