Jolta Electric bike catches fire while charging in Karachi

Pakistani EV startup Jolta Electric is now selling it’s locally assembled electric bikes all across Pakistan. These bikes have received a warm welcome by enthusiasts and they paid the premium for it.

Unfortunately one of their Electric bikes got burnt while charging. As per the owner,” I bought jolta electric bike from karachi up more showroom 3 months ago yesterday my bike was charging suddenly got fire from is own circuit and within 5 minutes my bike destroyed as you can see in these pictures and video. Even charger is okay socket is okay is not charger fault. I complaint to dealer where I purchases this bike but they said contact to service center. SC said 50 thousand would be your expense and they don’t own thier bike fault. I purchased it to save my money from petrol, oil whatever they said. I purchased it at price of 89 thousand in 3 months 50 tousand expense I can’t afford. Please help me out. Or phir kehte hen Pakistani made ko yahan k log support nahi krte “

What ever the reason might be, Jolta Electric should inquire so that they could find out the reason why their Electric bikes caught fire and compensate the owner with a new Electric bike.
