Pak Suzuki was one of the leading Japanese automobile manufacturers in Pakistan. For the last four decades, Suzuki has been leading the industry with motorcycles, cars, and light trucks. Suzuki has recently announced to close down its plant again and observe non-production days. This is a worrying situation. Is Suzuki permanently closing down in Pakistan? Let’s find out.
Pak Suzuki has extended its plant closure again till 19th July 2023. The automobile manufacturer has announced that due to a shortage of raw materials and supplies, these non-production days are being observed. Over the last 2 months, the Suzuki plant has hardly been functional for a week in Pakistan.
Pak Suzuki Motors has a history of doing business in Pakistan but due to the non-enforcement of policies and other issues, the manufacturer could never localize properly in Pakistan. Still, the factory is dependent upon foreign kits and unfinished goods to manufacture a complete motorcycle or car.

The situation is different in other parts of the globe where Suzuki is launching new variants and products. Earlier Suzuki had an installment plan for its automobiles in Pakistan. That plan is also discarded and now Suzuki automobiles are only available on cash or leasing through banks. If the situation remains the same, we fear that Suzuki may permanently close down in Pakistan.
