First Pakistani Electric Vehicle Launched

This news just came in from Social media and courtesy of Pakwheels.com. On Pakistan’s 75th independence day Pakistan’s first EV is being launched.

As per the details, DICE Foundation(a US-based non-profit organization run by expatriate Pakistanis) has taken this initiative. The foundation plans on unveiling the electric vehicle on 14th August 2022. This is the first time in the history of Pakistan’s automotive industry that a made-in-Pakistan vehicle is being launched on Independence Day.

The car is called Nur-E , in Urdu NUR means ray of hope and the EV is designed for Pakistani market so it’s a 5door hatch back with looks inspired from many different cars.

The price of NUR-E has not been disclosed yet nor other details but the good thing is that Pakistan announces its own EV on 75th independence day. Way to go Pakistan!
