Master Chery has kicked off priority pre-booking registration for its upcoming Super PHEV lineup after witnessing an unexpectedly strong reaction at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2025. According to company representatives, the footfall at Chery’s booth this year was “the highest since their entry into the Pakistani market,” pushing the brand to open early registration sooner than originally planned.
Massive Response at PAPS 2025
Visitors at PAPS 2025 showed huge interest in the brand’s plug-in hybrid SUVs, especially due to the rising fuel prices and an increasing shift toward cleaner mobility. As per event organizers, almost 32% of visitors at the auto show this year spent time exploring hybrid or electric vehicles an all-time high for Pakistan’s auto industry.
Chery’s Super PHEV lineup stood out because it brings international-level specs to the Pakistani market at a time when consumers are actively looking for long-range and fuel-efficient options.
Super PHEV Lineup: Power, Range & Features
The Super PHEV series includes:
-
Tiggo 7 Super PHEV
-
Tiggo 8 Super PHEV
-
Tiggo 9 Super PHEV
These SUVs come with a combined power output of up to 610 hp, depending on the model figures that put them in the same performance bracket as luxury hybrid SUVs available in global markets.
One of the highlights is the 170 km pure-electric range, which is significantly higher than what other plug-in hybrids offer in Pakistan. With the hybrid system engaged, the vehicles can reach a maximum combined range of up to 1,400 km, making them ideal for long-distance family travel.
For comparison, most locally available hybrid SUVs in Pakistan offer 35 to 80 km electric range and 700 to 900 km combined range. Chery’s numbers nearly double that, which explains the surge in public interest.

No Payment Required for Pre-Booking
Unlike traditional pre-booking procedures, this registration is completely payment-free. Customers can simply sign up to:
-
Get early placement in the delivery queue
-
Receive first-hand updates
-
Gain access to any launch offers or early-bird deals
The company says this step was taken to gauge real demand and plan production and import quantities accordingly. In recent years, several brands in Pakistan have faced criticism for overbooking vehicles without maintaining transparency. Chery aims to avoid that by managing registrations ahead of launch.
Why People Are Excited
With rising fuel prices and the rapid shift toward EVs worldwide, many Pakistani consumers are now comparing long-term savings more seriously. A Karachi-based teacher visiting the Chery booth shared that he spends Rs. 25,000 to 30,000 per month on petrol and is actively looking for a hybrid option to reduce his monthly expenses.
Similarly, a Lahore-based IT professional said that a range of 1,400 km means he could travel to Islamabad, Murree, and back to Lahore on a single tank and recharge cycle—something no current local hybrid SUV offers.
What Happens Next?
Chery is expected to reveal official prices and full specifications in the coming weeks. Industry insiders believe the company might aim to position these SUVs below the price bracket of imported Japanese hybrids, making them one of the strongest new contenders in Pakistan’s premium SUV category.
